Veronica Robinette Concord Sports Assistant
Veronica grew up in Roane County Tennessee, lived in California for ten years, then moved back to Tennessee and has lived in Knoxville since 1990. She loves the group of people she works with at Concord – they have become like family to her, showing Christ to her everyday. During a difficult time in her life, God provided this job, and her faith has grown tremendously by the examples that people she works with put forth.
She has three sons and two daughter-in-laws... Shane (wife Katy) who is a Captain in the Marine Corps; Myles (wife Clare) recently married, works as a composite and motion media designer; her “baby” Micah is still in college and loves to play guitar and sing. At this time of her life, Veronica lives with her sister, Cindy, who - other than Jesus - is her ROCK. They’ve shared so much... great times, hard times, times they didn’t think they were going to make it through... and they always find something else to talk about, never a dull moment!
Veronica loves to cook – pretty much anything - and loves finding new recipes to try! She loves football – she is truly that obnoxious Vols fan, just not mean spirited... it is only a game! Orange is the dominant color in her closet! The other sport she loves is NASCAR - even if it’s a little redneck (or some think that) - she enjoys it nonetheless. Veronica enjoys reading many types of books (especially digging in the Bible); lots of music genres (listening & singing along) and last, but surely not least, hanging out with her “Flamingo” girlfriends (too much to write... just ask her one day and she will be happy to share the story). They have gone on many crazy trips together and have shared life together for almost 25 years now.
Veronica's mom always told her she should've given her the middle name "GO" because Veronica was always ready to venture out anywhere at any time - she loves to travel, pretty much anywhere. Her sister has always called her "Betty Crocker" because of her love of cooking. Sometimes she has been called "bossy" by her family and friends - but when you have the best idea or more efficient way of doing something, why is that considered being bossy? :-) Veronica has NEVER been accused of being shy... yes, she could carry on a total conversation with a fence post. She tries to be an encourager... every one you meet has something they are dealing with so, she tries to lift them up in some way.
