Missions

There is an African proverb that says, "If you want to go fast, go alone; if you want to go far, go together." When it comes to engaging the world with the gospel, planting churches and serving the needy in Jesus' name, it is clear the destination is far. We have a long way to go. So we must go together. To go the distance, we partner with a host of other churches, community ministries and organizations, and mission agengies to equip Concord to go proclaim the gospel and make disciples where Jesus sends us. What a gift that we get to journey side by side in this eternal work. Equipping Concord to go proclaim the gospel and make disciples where Jesus sends us! If you are ready to find your place, please contact us through one of the ways listed below!

Training Opportunities

Launch Point - Life on Mission

Crossing the street, the country or even crossing cultures for the sake of the gospel inevitably changes the believer. There is nothing else quite like the firsthand experience of taking part in God’s mission to reach the world for Christ. God can take a few brief days of serving in Knoxville or in an international setting and use that to ignite a lifelong passion for the spread of His glory.
You might wonder, though, where it is exactly that we are going. You might wonder what those places and people who call them home are like. You might wonder what we do when we get there.
This training will provide some answers as to what a life on mission looks like in our community, across Knoxville, in Cleveland (Ohio), New York City and in multiple regions around the globe. Our goal is to prepare you to effectively serve alongside our mission partners and to be equipped for the joy that lies before you as you go where the Lord leads you to share the Good News. The training consists of 2 sessions offered monthly, except in December. Both sessions are required every 3 years for those who desire to serve.

2019 Schedule:

October:

  • Session 1: October 16
  • Session 2: October 23

November:

  • Session 1: November 13
  • Session 2: November 20

Classes begin at 6 PM in the Missions Training Center.
