What to Expect

Where is Concord West Hills located?
What should I expect on Sunday mornings?
  • Our Worship Service begins at 10:30 AM each week. When you arrive, parking lot greeters and a friendly welcome team will help you navigate the parking lot and locate the Children's Ministry area and Worship Center. Dress is widely varied, but tends to be casual. Mainly, we want you to come as you are comfortable so you can worship without worrying about what you are wearing.
What will the Children’s Ministry look like?
  • We have taken great strides to provide an interactive and engaging experience that your children will love. We are passionate about showing the love of Jesus to children in a safe and welcoming environment.
What about Middle and High School – Concord Students?
  • Our Concord Students team is eager to connect students to biblical community through Life Groups, service opportunities and the Sunday morning experience. Please contact Dylan Pentecost for more information on Concord Students at West Hills.
What do small groups look like?
  • We have smaller communities (Life Groups) within our congregation that meet off campus during the week. Life Groups focus on making disciples of Jesus through facilitation of discussion and the study of God's Word. Doing so means that we love God with everything we are and, as a result, demonstrate the love of God to our neighbors in tangible, practical ways.
What does the worship experience look like?
  • The Concord West Hills worship experience is a unique expression of the Concord Worship DNA. Our band leads us in worship each week in a warm, inviting setting. The music of our worship and the preaching of God's Word combine to create a heartfelt, authentic encounter with God.
What will the preaching be like?
  • Preaching must, at all times, be biblically based and application-oriented. The preaching of God's Word at Concord West Hills is a combination of streaming the sermons from our Senior Pastor, John Avant, and live preaching from our Campus Pastor, Jay Smith. Each campus will hear the same sermon whether live or through video feed.
