Joni and Friends Tennessee, partnered with First Baptist Concord, is excited to announce our second annual JOY A Disability Conference. This is a two-day conference for church leaders, caregivers, and anyone interested in learning how to provide ministry to people affected by disabilities. Please join us as together we grow in accelerating Christian ministry in the disability community.
Friday night will begin with a free concert by Christopher Duffley. Christoper is an inspirational and passionate singer and musician. Born prematurely, Christopher weighed only 1 lb 12 oz at birth and was rendered blind due to Retinopathy of Prematurity. His goal is to share God’s love through his inspirational singing and dynamic presentations.
Saturday join us for local speakers, worship, exhibits, lunch and different workshop tracks from which to choose. These workshops will be information-packed with knowledgeable speakers who are experts on disability from around Tennessee. On Saturday, exhibitors will be set up 30 minutes prior to and 30 minutes after the conference (8:00-8:30 AM and 3:30-4:00 PM). Stop by their tables to learn more about disability organizations in the community, as well as resources and businesses that specialize in helping families affected by disability. This is a great way to get connected!
We trust you will leave the conference with the knowledge, tools, and resources to begin a journey of becoming a church that is “irresistible” to families and individuals affected by disability.
